Marco Resconi
I am Marco, 19, from Italy.
About a month ago, I arrived in the Netherlands to start my first year as a law student and until now, I am very happy with my choice!!
As you can see, I am a newbie, but as soon as I heard about Arbitras, I was super interested and looking forward to joining it.
Why am I interested in the Gazette? Because I love the idea of writing articles for newspapers and making them as enjoyable as possible for everyone (plus I really like reading books so it would be really interesting for me to put myself in action).
Rumbidzai Mudzongo
My name is Rumbidzai and I am a third-year International and European Law student. My passions are writing about current affairs and social issues, reading, painting and cooking and creating new dishes. I joined Arbitras because I have an interest in finding new ways to resolve conflict, especially on the international stage, and I feel that Arbitras is a great place to start! I also wanted to interact with new people in a different environment from my courses."
Daria Catrina
My name is Daria and I am a third-year International and European Law student. I am passionate about the fields of Environmental Law and Human Rights Law. I joined Arbitras with the goal of learning more about the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution as I believe this field should be considered an important tool in the legal world. I am currently the leader of the Events Department. Being part of Arbitras has given me the opportunity to work in a multicultural environment together with other students and to further expand the skills I have developed during my courses. Outside of the academic sphere, I enjoy going swimming, reading and travelling.
Max Kozanyi
My name is Max Kozanyi, I am a third-year International and European law student. I have a background in Performing Arts. Following my passion of law, I am mostly concentrated on corporate law, contract law and ADR structure. Following my graduation at THUAS, I wish to continue my studies in Canada and pursue career in ADR.
I joined Arbitras to gain more experience and use this opportunity to expand my network with new colleagues and people that I meet along the working experience, broaden my knowledge and use this space in preparation for my prospective future career.
Andreea Dobre
“My name is Andreea Dobre and I am a second-year International and European Law student at the Hague University of Applied Sciences.
To discover the world of ADR and to challenge myself, I decided to join the Events Team of Arbitras. Not only did I have a chance to meet and work with creative and pro-active students, I have also learned a lot about myself in the process. Eventually, Arbitras became the place where my wish to gain an understanding of ADR turned into the desire to (hopefully) pursue a career in this area of law.”
Polina Khazina
Polina is a second-year International Communication Management student, who is an enthusiastic and open-minded person motivated to change the world. Having always been interested in peaceful conflict resolution, she decided to join Arbitras to gain more knowledge about ADR and lawmaking. In her free time, Polina learns new languages, experiments with photography, and participates in political campaigns.
Ana Kiknavelidze
My name is Ana. I am a second-year international law student from Georgia. I like the diverse and motivating environment in our university, writing, playing board games, and decided to join Arbitras to expand my circle.
I am a member of Blog Posts and Events, as I love to express myself through my write and delight in planning fun events for my fellow students to enjoy.
I have a great interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution and believe that contributing to Arbitras with my fellow colleagues will improve my writing and organisational skills.
Delilah van Tol
Delilah an International and European Law student who registered in law as an accident and decided to stay when she found out that her interest was indeed in pursuing a career in the legal fields. After a couple of years she found out that her interest was in Alternative Dispute Resolution and decided to be part of Arbitras and become Project Leader of the blog posts.

Kejsi Shefkiu
Who is Kejsi? Kejsi is in her own words a ‘work in progress’. Always trying to improve herself and give her best, she is characterized by curiosity and ambition. It is precisely this the reason why she decided to join Arbitras, to see how she can contribute with her posts to ADR and learn more about the concept in the process. As per her personality, she will always be there to give a helping hand to a friend or contribute to a good laugh.
Noelia Begia
Noelia is a year three law student following the Business Law and Contract Management modules. She is always eager to learn new things and expand her knowledge in various fields. Noelia spends her free time singing and she enjoys being part of various organisations within the programme, such as ILSA, Alumni Network, Law Student Ambassador and recently, Arbitras. She learned about ADR during her year two courses and given that ADR is an expanding field of law, she was curious to learn more about it. She joined Arbitras as a Gazette Writer, to challenge herself and improve her writing skills.
Denise Scheer
Denise loves to travel and get to know new people; having lived in 5 different countries and therefore speaking fluent German, English, French and Spanish helps her in making new friends and finding dispute resolutions. She is fascinated by Arbitras because it can bring so many different solutions. In the team she wants to be able to learn more about ADR and show other students the advantages of ADR. She is a very active person who besides loving Christmas also enjoys being an environmental ambassador in her surrounding and doing lots of sports, from yoga and African dance to climbing and playing football.
Marsi Malasi
My name is Marsi Malasi. I am a 20 year old International and European law student, in my third year at the Hague University of Applied Sciences. I find it very weird to describe myself in third person because I rarely do so, however I will try my best to be as subjective as possible. I would describe myself as an intellectually curious person. I am very interested in politics, law-related information, exploring new cultures and I am very curious about the state of the world that surrounds me. I am a big chess and ping-pong enthusiast, even though I wouldn’t call myself a good player at both of those. I recently took the subject of Alternative Dispute Resolution in my programme and I was very captivated by the material and it is a pleasure for me to be in Arbitras, where other students and alumni share the same paradigm as me on this topic.

Aarya is a 4th Year Law student at THUAS, who loves traveling and wants to be a part time yogi. Currently she is Arbitras’ Project Leader for the ADR Gazette. In the future she wishes to work in the field of ADR and use it to bring positive changes to people’s lives.

Charlotte Tran Ngoc Linh Phuong
Charlotte is a fourth-year International & European Law student at the Hague University of Applied Sciences. She joined Arbitras as a blog writer with a strong passion for researching and writing. She endeavors to look at topics from a multi-dimensional perspective and translate them into creative writing. By attending ADR events, she developed a strong interest in getting more engaged in the field. She was honored to become the session supervisor for the ICC Mediation Competition 2021 held in Paris. Andrea Tóthová
My name is Andrea Tóthová and I am a third-year student at the Hague University of Applied Sciences, specializing in corporate governance and compliance. I joined Arbitras with a keen interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution, and with a passion to learn and diversify my knowledge in the field of law. My hobbies are reading books (whether fictional or academic), researching, and listening to podcasts. I found Arbitras to be a good opportunity to meet peers with the same passion to become a professional in the legal field.
Roxana Jitariu
Roxana is a fourth-year student in the Law programme and since she has finished high school, she has been trying to discover herself and her path. During her journey in The Hague, she has met a lot of people from different backgrounds, which has given her new perspectives on life. After hearing and attending events about ADR, Roxana has developed an interest in learning more about this field and is eager to gain experience by joining Arbitras. For the rest, she prefers tea over coffee since coffee does not wake her up or prevent her to sleep. The message she would like to communicate is to have the courage to try new things as you never know what will happen in the future.

When Arbitration Clauses Backfire
Laura Filliung
Laura is Arbitras’ Project Leader for Events to coordinate and organize the career workshops. She is currently in her fourth year of International and European Law, and has chosen commercial law as her specialization. After following the ADR minor offered by the university, Laura found herself really interested in that field and would like to pursue a master in ADR after she graduates. Hence, she joined Arbitras to gain more experience and be more active in the field of ADR.

Simona Jansonaite
Simona. Law student by day, wannabe artist by night. Her curiosity of Alternative Dispute Resolution and love of making things look pretty led her to take on the role of project leader for the MLR website and marketing. She loves to combine her creativity and love for the law to present facts and topics in an engaging way. Her goal is to work in the area of law and technology. She wants to advance legal tech to its full potential and make legal services and knowledge accessible to everyone!
Andra Curutiu
Andra is a fourth year student in International and European law. She truly beliefs that the key to success is people that feel included and accepted in their diversity. She made a habit of living on coffee since she gets involved in any extra-curricular and social project she has the opportunity to. Part-time passions include: running on heels, eating chocolate and random travels. She hopes to fund an NGO one day to protect the IP rights of designers and artists from 2nd and 3rd world countries.

Victoria Muntean
Victoria is a final year graduate level law student at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, UK, where she previously studied and was awarded an MA(Honours) degree in International Relations and Sociology. Besides her studies, Victoria works as a Market Intelligence Research Assistant for the offshore energy market. She joined MLR in summer 2020 after having completed several online courses in ADR. MLR proved an exciting opportunity to work and socialise with international students and an engaging way in learning more about the field of alternative dispute resolution. She is a Social Media Assistant for the MLR and occasionally contributes to the MLR blog.

Gina, has been in the lectoraat since the beginning, in her role as project leader for internships. Different from the rest she is not majoring in law but is a proud International Public Management(IPM) student. MLR has been an inspiring experience filled with amazing ambitious individuals. It has enabled us to be part of something great. As a public professional she aspires to a career that positively impacts social equality and the environment.
Sofía Lossley
Sofía is a third-year student from the Programme of International and European Law and is specializing in commercial law. She did a minor in ADR and became interested in the subject, especially investment arbitration. Sarah-Jane Tchakerian
Sarah-Jane Tchakerian is a third-year student following the course ‘International and European Law’ at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. She is specializing in commercial law and taking a minor in Alternative Dispute Resolution. Due to her great interest in both of these fields, she is participating in the 28th Annual of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. She decided to become part of the MLR family in October 2020 as she saw a great deal of similarity between their projects and her interests, as well as her skills.
